Andrew Wheelton

Expert care for all problems

of the Hip and Knee

How Can I Help You?

The conditions I treat

Hip pain

What are the causes?

The most common cause of hip pain that I see is arthritis of the hip. When nonsurgical options are exhausted hip replacement is very effective.

Hip Replacement

How is it done?

In the surgery the damaged parts of the hip joint are removed. A metal stem is placed into the femur and a metal cup is placed into the pelvis.

Knee Pain

What causes knee pain?

The most common cause of knee pain is arthritis of the knee. Other causes include meniscus tears, tendon and muscle problems and ligament injuries.

Knee Replacement

Complete or Partial?

The damaged parts of the joint are removed and replaced. In partial knee replacement this is only part of the joint rather than the whole joint
